Ron Shields, who was Chief Executive for Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (NHFT) for the past ten years, has now left and we now have a new Interim Chief Executive.

It’s Mental Health Awareness Week and the theme this year is ‘Let’s Get Physical’, promoting the mental health benefits of physical exercise. Mental Health Awareness Week is run every year by national charity the Mental Health Foundation. Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (NHFT) wants to support this campaign by encouraging local people to take up exercise to improve their mental and physical health and wellbeing. Our Breastfeeding Support Service was officially launched on Monday 13th May 2013. The event took place at our new Breastfeeding Support drop-in session which takes place at Royal&Derngate every Monday from 10am to 1pm.
Several mums and babies attended the event along with Alfred Hanson, Director of Operations for Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, Councillor David Mackintosh from Northampton Borough Council, and Councillor Robin Brown from Northamptonshire County Council.
